Planned activities

Phase I: diagnosis of the initial situation

  • Establishment of the Polish-Norwegian Cooperation Platform (→ members of the Platform will exchange experience during regular - personal and virtual- meetings and via on-line forum);
  • Development of the diagnosis of the situation of Polish and Norwegian municipalities in terms of energy efficiency and RES use;
  • Development of the catalogue of Polish and Norwegian best practices in the area of energy efficiency and RES use;
  • Organisation of the 1st EEG meeting (input for the diagnosis) and the 1st bilateral conference in Cracow,
  • Development of the project logo and visual identity,
  • Development of the project leaflet and website.

Phase II: open contest

  • Organisation of the open contest for the best ideas for innovative energy projects developed by Polish municipalities and inspired by the Norwegian experience,
  • Evaluation of the submitted proposals and selection of the 10 winning projects, which will be awarded with micro-grants for the preparation of necessary analyses and documentation. The winners will be announced during the 2nd EEG meeting in Poznań,
  • Organisation of the study visit in Norway for the representatives of the winning municipalities.

Phase III: implementation of micro-projects

  • Establishing bilateral cooperation between selected Polish and Norwegian municipalities,
  • Implementation of the 10 winning micro-projects with the support of Norwegian partners,
  • Organisation of the 3rd EEG meeting and the final bilateral conference in Warsaw.

Expected results

  • Polish-Norwegian Cooperation Platform;
  • Implementation of 10 micro-projects in the field of EE and RES use proposed by Polish municipalities and selected in the open contest (including development of analyses and documentation necessary to launch pilot investments);
  • establishment of bilateral cooperation between 10 Polish and 10 Norwegian municipalities (including signature of 10 Memorandums of Cooperation aiming at implementation of the above-mentioned micro-projects);
  • organisation of a series of events aiming at analysing initial situation of Polish and Norwegian municipalities, promotion of best practices and dissemination of project results (including 3 EEG meetings, 2 bilateral conferences, 1 study visit and several thematic webinars;
  • publication of documents summarising, disseminating and promoting results of the project (including diagnostic report, catalogue of best practices and final publication).
