On 19 December 2016 1st webinar was organized under the project " Polish-Norwegian Cooperation Platform for climate and energy conservation". It was held in Polish, and devoted to the topic of RES use. Good practices were presented by Pałecznica, Raciechowice and Gieraltowice. The webinar participants also had the opportunity to hear about the first results of the Polish-Norwegian exchange of experience established in the framework of the project.
Patrycja Płonka from the Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” talked about a study visit to Norway in September this year. During this trip the Polish delegation learned about the most interesting Norwegians’ actions in the area of energy efficiency and development of renewable energy. Then the representatives of Pałecznica and Raciechowice talked about their first experiences related to bilateral cooperation established with Norwegian partners in order to transfer know-how and tested pro-energy solutions.
We remind that Pałecznica and Raciechowice are among the winners of the competition for the best innovative ideas, which was organized under the project in the first half of this year. It was attended by 20 Polish municipalities, of which 10 received micro-grants to support them in preparation of their ideas for implementation. They will be assisted by selected Norwegian partners who will support Polish self-governments with their advice and experience. Within the framework of the project submitted to the contest, Pałecznica plans to introduce remote monitoring of media consumption throughout the municipality, while Raciechowice is preparing for installation of heat pumps powered by photovoltaic installations in selected public buildings.
A speech by Mr Joachim Bargiel, mayor of Gierałtowice municipality, met with great interest of webinar audience. The municipality has got a very thorough analysis of the renewable energy resources available in its area and strives to consistently use them. It also conducts continous monitoring of energy consumption in buildings and streets managed by the municipality.
